About this Event
Importantly, this means that leaders must be able to navigate swiftly shifting landscapes. To say that they (and the people they lead) must be able to learn from setbacks is obvious. Yet, how do we do this in a savvy and sustainable way? Weaving a mix of neuroscience and growth mindset research and thinking, this lunch-n-learn session will explore how to start to build a growth mindset culture.
I’ll introduce and discuss two key premises:
It’s not you, it’s your brain
- Introduce some basics about how the brain works, particularly during times of change and increased stress. While change can cause people to fall into a threat response that makes them less able to learn, people with a growth mindset are more adaptable to recover from mistakes and begin again.
The power of ‘not quite yet’
- Explore how mindset shapes the cognitive mechanics of how people deal with things.
I’ll conclude by outlining 3 areas that leaders can focus on to immediately begin to test and tighten alignment back in the workplace.
I look forward to seeing you.
