We face a highly dynamic, uncertain, and at times an incomprehensible world. The events of 2020 have shown us how quickly and dramatically our lives can be affected by the complex nature of our reality. The thinking and decision-making that worked well for a more predictable past are no longer effective in navigating the rapidly emerging future. There is an urgent need for broader and more diverse thinking derived from the science of complexity. New patterns of thought, sense-making, and tools are needed to help guide us through today’s complex challenges. Cynefin® is the ideal framework designed specifically for complex environments.
The Cynefin® framework supports planning, decision-making, and management across a range of environments with differing levels of uncertainty. It has been adopted and applied in both the public and private sectors. In our current disrupted reality, Cynefin® has stood out as a framework that provides the right level of guidance for those seeking practical, hands-on support in business, government, and a personal sense of the current state of affairs.
Virtual Cynefin® Foundations training delivers a comprehensive introduction to Cynefin and a core set of related methods. With uniquely designed practice exercises, wrapped in a highly engaging virtual learning environment, this course is a “must do” learning opportunity for those new to complexity and Cynefin®. For those who are well-read and well-studied in Cynefin® but want to refresh their knowledge, this course offers an ideal opportunity to engage with others in learning about Cynefin practices in today’s environment.
